Meet the Officers
-Seniors-
Simran Patel
President

Simran Patel has been a part of River Ridge High School Student Government for four years, and this is her third year as president. In these years, she has been involved in the development of many events at The Ridge and has continued to volunteer and give back to her community. She is heavily involved in various clubs and activities at River Ridge such as: Academic Bowl, Science Olympiad, Beta Club, National Honors Society, Rho Kappa, and Future Business Leaders of America. For the past 8 years, Simran has been doing Indian classical dance, Kathak, and Bollywood dance. She is also on a competitive Bollywood dance team. This year, Simran hopes to make sure that the students are heard and offer the student body a consistency of communication. She is very excited and motivated to showcase all River Ridge has to offer and represent the school on the Cherokee County School Board!!
Taj Grewal
Secretary

Taj Grewal is coming up on his fourth year of being a part of the Student Government Association and third year as being secretary. Taj has a passion to help out in the community and around the Ridge by volunteering for numerous school events around the year. He has helped out in the community by volunteering at Cherokee County Safety Town and has also been a part of his religious camp at his temple for two summers in a row. He made it to county level for the GA Social Studies Fair his sophomore year and has received an AP Scholar Award after his sophomore year. On top of that, he is also a part of the Cross-Country team at River Ridge. He is excited about all the new opportunities coming up at River Ridge and is ready for a great school year!
Lauren McCreary
Co-Communictions Director

Lauren McCreary is one of the senior communications directors! She loves all things music, whether it be singing, dancing, playing the piano, or blasting her playlists while she drives. She is always ready to go on an adventure with her friends; maybe a hike, a road trip, or even going to target! She loves coffee, going thrifting & fashion, and any kind of mexican or italian food. She also loves helping and uplifting others in whatever they do, and try to put others before herself always. She is excited for this year, and can't wait to see what it will bring!
Sarah Sweet
Co-Communictions Director

Sarah Sweet is a Senior at River Ridge High School. She was a Homeroom Representative in the SGA Congress last year. Sarah has been a part of Varsity Cheerleading and Track here at River Ridge. She is involved in the National Honor Society, Math Team, and Future Business Leaders of America. She volunteers at a local food pantry every week. She is determined to do her best to listen to the voice of the student body and dramatically increase student involvement at the Ridge.
Camden Cochran
Director of Community Relations

Camden Cochran is a senior at River Ridge High School and has been apart of the Student Government Association for three years, and this is his second year as an officer, serving as the Director of Community Relations. He is very involved with the school participating in three sports: football, wrestling, and track and field while holding a captains position in football and wrestling. He has accumulated over 200 service hours in three years for both River Ridge and the community of Woodstock. He looks forward to this year and hopes that he can serve the student body to the best of his ability.
Catherine Hartwig
Vice President

This will be Catherine‘s fourth and final year on Sga, she is sad but she is very proud of the work that her and her co-council members have done and is excited for the work they’re going to do this year. She has really enjoyed working for her community through not just Sga but she also volunteers at her local church as a preschool teacher. Catherine loves event planning and organization and is very excited for the year ahead and all that it has planned for it. She plans on attending Oglethorpe University with a focus in psychology and then plans to enlist in the military as a on base counselor.
Kennedy Montfort
Treasurer

Kennedy Montfort is your Senior Class Treasurer! This is her 2nd year on SGA, and she is super excited to make this the best year yet! Along with being in student government, She is also involved in National Honors Society, Beta Club, and Future Business Leaders of America. She is currently a cheerleader at the Stingray All Stars and has also taken up tennis. In her free time, She enjoys spending time with her friends and family and playing with my cute dog Cupcake!
Marissa Langley
Co-Communictions Director

Marissa was a part of River Ridge's Social Media Team last year, and she absolutely love designing flyers and Instagram posts. For fun, she loves running, going to the beach, or taking her dog, Zoey, on long hikes. She is extremely excited for this upcoming year and all the wonderful events to come!
Hillary Okpeseyi
Parliamentarian

Hillary Okpeseyi is your Senior Class Parliamentarian and she is greatly honored to have been trusted by the student body with this responsibility. Hillary is also the Treasurer of the National Honors Society, an Officer in the Beta Club Committee, and a devoted member of several other clubs at River Ridge High School such as FCCLA, FBLA, NTHS, and RHO KAPPA. She is on the Golf Team and some of her hobbies are cooking, traveling, and dancing. She comes from a large Nigerian family with 8 siblings ranging in ages from 35 to 13 and she loves every chaotic second of it. Her heritage is a vital part of who she is, and it has taught her acceptance towards different types of people, distinguished be their nationality, language, personality, culture, and even ideas. Hillary is looking forward to her first year as Parliamentarian at River Ridge and will do her best to ensure the needs and opinions of the student body are not just heard but taken into serious consideration. This is an opportunity for her to give back to a school and community that has done so much for her, and she assures you that this position will not be taken for granted. During her last year at River Ridge, Hillary is looking forward to making an undeniable impact on the school and improving faculty-student relations. She want you to know that you have somebody in your corner no matter the situation, and if you ever need a helping hand, a listening ear, or a shoulder to cry on, she’s just a classroom away.

Bridger Putzer

President
This is Bridger Putzer’s third year in River Ridge Leadership and third as president. Bridger swims both with his club team, Stingrays, and for River Ridge. Bridger enjoys going to the lake, hanging out with friends, and volunteering for the school. This year, Bridger looks forward to helping to make SGA more open to everyone in order to give students a larger voice for changes they would like to see at school. Bridger is extremely excited for what is to come this year from SGA!
Katie Blankinship

Co-Vice President
Katie Blankinship has been a part of SGA for 2 years. As well as this, she is a competitive year round swimmer for Stingrays, swims for the River Ridge Swim Team and is a student aid to the athletic training program at River Ridge. Outside of school she enjoys listening to music, and hanging out with her friends. She is so excited to be serving as the Junior Class Co-Vice President!
Carson Portis

Co-Treasurer
Carson has been involved in leadership every year in high school in both SAB and SGA. He is #1 in his class, and his favorite subjects are math and science. He swims both year-round and for River Ridge, and he qualified for state both is freshman and sophomore years. Carson enjoys playing video games and hanging out with his friends. His goals as treasurer this year include managing funds well enough to plan and carry out great proms this year and the next despite setbacks from Covid-19.

Emma Laprade

Co-Vice President
Emma is a hardworking student who is so excited to be the Co-Vice President of the class of 2022. Emma has been dancing with the Cherokee Ballet Theater ever since she was four years old, and her favorite hobbies include painting, taking care of her plants, and listening to 70's music. She is a member of Beta Club, NHS, SkillsShareUSA, and Student Government (For the past three years). She is looking forward to the upcoming year and is so excited to excited to share it with you all!
Dianna Karworski

Secretary
Dianna Karwoski is an experienced leader who can fulfill the need for student representation. She is motivated in her position and is willing to work hard to play a part in the betterment of River Ridge High School as a whole. She has a passion for leadership and is committed to her role. She does not fall short in spending time at school to prepare for various events and it is her goal to foster school spirit to genuinely make high school an unforgettable experience.
Lexie Montfort

Co-Treasurer
This is Lexie Montfort’s second year as a member of SGA. She currently serves as the Junior Class Co-Treasurer. She’s involved in FBLA, Beta Club, and leadership, and loves serving in her community. In addition to participating in school activities, she also enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is very excited to see what this new year has to bring.
Ryan Majd

Co-Communictions Director
Ryan is someone who is caring and compassionate about others. He loves building computers, troubleshooting software, User Interface Development, Game Development, Photography, Videography, Photo/Video Editing, Basketball, Science, and Math. He has a lot of technical knowledge that is brought to the team. He is heavily involved in various clubs and activities at River Ridge such as: Beta Club, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, and now Student Government Association. He is dependable, authentic, and kind to those he interacts with.

Aaliyah Deere

President
This is Aaliayh Deere! She has been apart of SGA for two years and she is so excited for next year! She loves to help others and spread kindness around the school. She loves drama club and she loves to sing. She is looking forward to this year because it is so going to be so much fun.
Destina Francis

Secretary
This is Destina Francis, the new sophomore secretary for SGA 2020, she likes to help others out, especially in volunteering and giving her time whenever she can. This is her first year in SGA and she can’t wait to contribute to the student experience. She is very out going and loves to give new ideas and always speaking her mind! She loves to help around her church and make new friends! She can’t wait to participate in all things SGA this year!
Jacob Flick

Co-Communications Director
Jacob Flick is a dependable student who loves to run and travel. Jacob is an honors student going into 10th grade. He enjoys science and math related classes. He likes helping others, lending a hand when he can. Other students describe him as charming, empathetic, kindhearted, and loyal. Jacob aspires to one day work in either the medical or aviation fields.
Mason Stokes

Vice President
My name is Mason Stokes. I am the Sophomore Class Vice President. I play the Flute and Cello, and I love Musicals. When I get older, I want to become a Music Education and Chemistry Education Double Major. You will love the ideas our Sophomore Team has this year, and we’re ready to take on any challenge you put in front of us!
Savannah Hollier

Treasurer
Savannah is a sophomore at River Ridge. She plays volleyball and loves being involved with her church and community. She loves people and tries to help and impact everyone in anyway possible. She wants to become a surgeon when she is older, and she intends to work hard everyday to accomplish her dream.
Naomi Holiday

Co-Communications Director
This is Naomi Holiday, one of the two, new communications directors. This is her first year in SGA and hopes to continue throughout the rest of high school. She has been involved with other activities such as student athletic training and river ridge friends club. She has also participated in several food drives and 5k runs in order to raise money for the homeless in Downtown Atlanta. She is so excited for this next school year and all that will come with it!
